After Osho left the body, more and more often I was leaving Pune for longer periods, in order to share meditation in the world, as I have already told …
Then, in 1994, the Board of Pune asked me to return to work there, this time as group leader, so in this second phase of Tantralife, from 1994 to 2000 I mainly held groups of Tantra in Pune. It was the first time I dared to call my work “Tantra” and it was a really important step for me.
Through the experience gained up to that moment working with people, I realized that I had to be more direct and also talk about sexuality. Until then it hadn’t been easy for me, partly because I was still suffering from Neapolitan and also Indian cultural conditioning, and then because there was a part of me that didn’t find this aspect easy to expose.
A meeting that I had with Rafia, the conductor of the Path of Love, who was a great friend of mine, was fundamental. Since he was more experienced than me in conducting groups, I asked him for advice, showed him the program I had developed and asked him for an opinion.
He looked me straight in the eyes and said “I never thought of leading a Tantra group this way, which I find very interesting, but something is missing in your program: a direct work with sexuality, which is what people would expect from a group of Tantra”. So, he gave me this input that helped me to go for it and from that day I started conducting courses where sexuality was strongly present. I was working with sexuality seen as the energy at the root of meditation, so, especially at the beginning, it was more a white Tantra, than a red Tantra.
