In the meantime, below is a very tender anecdote, which happened to her when she lived in the Osho Commune in Oregon …
“The next day, Osho stopped again at the garage and after speaking with Avesh called me over and said, “Radha, I have something for you. Come to the house.”
I went up to his house, trembling and nervous, wondering if he was going to come out of his room, or invite me in, or… I knew not what. Then Shunyo, an English woman who took care of his personal laundry, came with a beautiful pearl necklace and said, “Osho would like you to have this.”
I was blown away. My most beloved giving me such a present! It was overwhelming. Gratefully, I put on the necklace and went back to work in the garage.
The next day he stopped, again gestured me to come to the car and asked, “Where do you live?” I told him that I had a room in a trailer home at the far end of the ranch.
He shook his head. “No, no. I’ve already told somebody that you should be moving into Mukta’s house, so move today”.
Mukta, Osho’s gardener, lived in a trailer home very close to the entrance to Osho’s compound. It touched me that my master wanted me to be close to him, but I also remember feeling that it was almost impossible for me to receive so much attention and so much love. I felt love and death together–it was a very strange feeling, almost like being condemned to die. I was not unhappy. On the contrary, I was totally happy and yet at the same time there was a deep fear of dying – as if by receiving so much I was going to be loved to death.”
