Sexual sensitivity: Love is a temple, on Yoga Journal
“The true work in Tantra is to get in touch with ourselves through daily practice and awareness. Tantra is awakening, celebration and transformation of our vital energy. Side effects? Sense of lightness, widespread joy and being in tune with ourselves.
1) WATCH: as soon as you wake up, while you are still in bed with your eyes closed, keep your attention inside of you and watch your energy awakening for a few minutes.
LAUGH: if you can give yourself another 2 or 3 minutes, after observing the body-mind system preparing for the new day, laugh. Just allow a total laughter with no purpose. The energy of your awakening will change and after a few days of this practice, you’ll feel that you can bring the desire of joy with you for all day long.
2) FEEL THE CONTACT: in the shower, close your eyes and focus on a small portion of your body, for example your left hand. Then extend the feel of your sensations to the rest of your body. This easy exercise it’s a daily training for your ability to be “orgasmic” in your whole body.
3) STOP IN YOUR BREATHING: if you are in a hurry or stressed, just stop. In any position you may be, watch your breath and your body posture for some seconds. Train yourself whenever you can to make your breath slow and deep: it will help you to expand and relax. Do it at least 4 or 5 times a day, it’s a ritual for knowing that you are there.
4) PRACTICE THE SLOWNESS: Choose an act you make in a mechanic way and decide to do it in a slow and conscious way. For example, eating dried fruit or drinking a cup of tea, bring your attention to your micromovements: you will soon notice that your taste expands. Train yourself to do this exercise with small actions and slowly slowly apply this practice to bigger and lasting movements.
FINALLY: try to bring the practices below in making love:
1- Observe the changes of your energy state inside of you
2- Make the sexual act a cheerful practice, nothing serious.
3- Focus on the small and subtle feelings of your body.
4- Breath in a slow and deep way.
5- Slow the rhythm and de-automate the movements.”
