Kendra in Sanskrit means center, core: it can be seen as the center of the being or the heart center, in both cases, Kendra is an invitation to move from around the edge of the personality to this center, that place of emptiness and silence where we are a whole with the existence.
This is the name that Radha gave to the meditation she created in the middle of the pandemic, when we still were in lockdown. It has been a hard time for all of us, nobody knew what was happening and how long it would last.
Fear was the dominant emotion during those days: fear of getting sick, fear of losing our loved ones, of losing everything, of dying. Anger and frustration have been strong emotions as well for all of us: the frustration of not being able to do anything, the anger of being stuck at home and not having anything under control.
Radha was offering an online course that allowed us to be together and support each other, as well as create all together a deep buddhafield which could be with us during those difficult days.
It was precisely during that course that she headed us into the experimentation of this meditation. The entire course was structured to lead us step by step to understand each stage of the meditation.
And it was a trip of the energy that, for once, instead of moving superficially it was brought to our center: Kendra!
We Sannyasins, thanks to Osho’s meditations, are used to reach silence after intense activity, catharsis, breathing, dance, madness, etc… but the most surprising thing about this meditation created by Radha is how the energy can move and be transformed even bypassing the cathartic stage.
It has been such a short-circuiting for all of us but incredibly rich in terms of intensity, depth, silence and emptiness.
During the intensive camp led in Tuscany this Summer, Radha experimented with a one-hour version that we practiced every day for a whole week and it has been as if we got a shortcut to that secret space of silence and emptiness which is meditation.
From this experience, Tantralife creative team got to work and a beautiful soundtrack was born to accompany the 7 stages of meditation.
